Islanded Grids Featured at the 2017 Island Energy Conference: Charting Transitions
March 16, 2017 The Islanded Grid Resource Center

The Island Energy Conference (IEC), hosted by the Island Institute and the Islanded Grid Resource Center, brings together 150 island leaders and energy experts to discuss common energy challenges and to learn more about resources that exist to address these challenges.

This year’s event will highlight how New England’s islands are charting the course toward a sustainable energy future, mapping out their transitions to clean energy systems that strengthen local communities and economies.

The seventh annual IEC will take place at Congregation Bet Ha’am in South Portland, ME on Friday, April 28, 2017, with a special kick-off reception on Thursday, April 27, and a trip to see the islanded grid power systems on Monhegan Island on Saturday, April 29.  For full conference details, visit our conference website.
