Scott Waterman is the Alaska State Energy Program Manager with Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC). His background includes aviation electronics, journalism, public and commercial radio, energy efficient construction, real estate sales, project administration, construction management, research and analysis, and public relations. He has 20+ years experience in energy efficiency applications in buildings, manages the State Energy Program, the AK Home Energy Rating program, oversees energy efficiency training programs, is a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) and works on other energy issues. Waterman has also built two energy efficient homes for himself and helped design others using minimal fossil fuels. He is a charter member of Bioneers in the Alaska Planning Team, working to create sustainable communities based on social justice, human health and environmental conservation/restoration.
